Trip is full.  Let Bill know if you would like to be added to the wait list.

Launch Time: Contact Bill or Rob

Limit 6 Paddlers

Join Bill Porter and Rob Freelove for a fun day of paddling in the busy waters of Deception Pass. On this day the morning ebb current will reach a speed of 7.08 knots. We will paddle in potentially dynamic conditions, including eddy lines, water moving at varying speeds, back eddies, and maybe a whirlpool or two. We may get to practice our rescue skills or even try to roll in moving water. Our plan is to paddle in and around Strawberry Island to warm up and then head into Canoe Pass as the ebb subsides.

You must wear your drysuit and helmet and of course all your cold water gear along with food and drink. If you have questions contact the trip leaders.

NSSKA Trip Rating: IV-B (potential for crossing strong currents)

Trip Leaders: Bill Porter (wep2754@gmail.com) and Rob Freelove (robfreelove1@gmail.com).
